Chairman Meaney made a motion to accept and waive the reading of the minutes of the previous meeting, second by MemberLamb. Unanimous vote.

The Board signed an authorization to allow the department to issue 2020 Food Service Permits.

Condemnations - Director Moore presented to the board an Order of Condemnation for the following properties. A motion was made by Chair Person Meaney and second by Member Lamb. Unanimous vote.

13 Berkshire Landing – Emergency condemnation due to a fire on May 2, 2019 condemnation lifted May 28, 2019
31 Yale Street – Water had to be shut off. Occupant was squatting after the owner died
455 State Street #1- Berkshire Gas red tagged the water heater. Visited this property several times. The owner is not making the necessary improvements to be able to life the condemnation.
37 Chesbro Avenue – Abandoned building. Owner has been contacted and grounds have been cleaned up. Owner has no intention of fixing, occupying or renting
140 Cliff Street #2 – Extreme filth, no smoke detectors, no heat. Occupants removed as a result of police action. Owner is in process of cleaning / rehabilitating unit.
25 Adams Street- Emergency condemnation done by then Director Bird, whom never finalized the process of bringing to the board for condemnation.

Director Moore informed the board that he had attended a seminar on maintenance and care of onsite wells.

Member Lamb inquired about and retailers concerns over the vaping ban. Director Moore informed the board that all were in compliance, all 13 establishments. He also informed the board that this order is being challenged and as of Monday, October 28, 2019, the ban may be lifted by Gov. Baker because it was not properly executed.

The next Meeting will be November 20, 2019
