V. Report of the Superintendent of Schools
a. 2018 Drury Summer Online Credit Recovery Program (enclosure 4)
Enclosed for your consideration is a copy of the 2018 Drury Summer Online Credit Recovery Program

RECOMMENDED ACTION: Motion to approve

b. Superintendent Summative Evaluation evidence (enclosure 5)
Superintendent Malkas will review the evidence for her Summative Evaluation for the 2017-2018 school year
c. School Choice
The school choice law, MGL c76s12B(d), requires that districts accept school choice students on a space available basis unless its school committee, prior to June 1st, after a public hearing, adopts a resolution withdrawing from said obligation, for the school year beginning the following September.

RECOMMENDED ACTION: Motion to adopt a resolution to participate in school choice


VI. Unfinished business
a. Update on administrative assistant to the superintendent and school committee (enclosure 6)
Superintendent Malkas will review the updated job description for the administrative assistant to the superintendent and school committee and discuss the next steps in the screening and selection process.
b. Selection of members for the joint subcommittee
Chair Bernard will appoint members to the joint subcommittee

VII. New business
a. Report of the policy subcommittee
Committee member Bergeron will report on the policy subcommittee meeting held on May 8, 2018
b. Revision of school committee policy JICH (enclosure 7)
The policy subcommittee recommends the adoption of the Massachusetts Association of School Committee’s proposed revisions to policy JICH

RECOMMENDED ACTION: Motion to approve

c. Discussion of shared food program services
Food services director Cory Nicholas will share with the committee the proposal for shared services with Savoy Elementary School
d. Budget line item transfers
Superintendent Malkas is requesting that the School Committee authorize the administration to make those line item transfers necessary to close the books as of the end of the fiscal year.

RECOMMENDED ACTION: Motion to approve
